Every St. Patrick’s Day I’m reminded of a cute little b&b on Vancouver island, which we did the kitchen cabinets for a while back…
The Creekside Inn B&B
Why St. Patrick’s Day, you ask? Well, since Brad & Krista Porter (the owners of Creekside Bed & Breakfast just out of Ladysmith, BC) completed the grand renovation project which transformed their older rancher home into the cutest Bed and Breakfast ever, we’ve been back on many occassions, a favorite of which included a St. Patty’s celebration at a local pub called The Crow & Gate.

The ten minute drive from the b&b to the pub takes you along quiet, meandering country roads, where you are not expecting to find a pub…but sure enough, an old fashioned sign directs you up a long, tree lined driveway, at the end of which is The Crow & Gate pub! Surrounded by friendly locals, we enjoyed our Irish themed pub fare while being entertained by a lively local musician.

Back at the b&b, we ended the evening talking and laughing around the kitchen island – the perfect gathering spot. We can’t wait to revisit our favorite spot on the island!
