The Kitchen Remodel “Make-over”. Some of our clients have had kitchens that weren’t terrible, but were not fabulous either. Usually, it’s a kitchen that is just old enough to be slightly out of date. The overall kitchen cabinet layout is ok, but could use a bit of tweaking to improve upon it. Sometimes, it’s the desire to update the kitchen appliances that perpetuates the change (newer fridges and ranges are often wider than the older standard openings). New kitchen cabinet doors or a new painted finish and updated countertops along with modifications of the existing layout offer a brand new look to a tired and out of date kitchen.

In other instances the kitchen cabinets, appliances and the layout are so outdated and lacking in function that the best course is to start from scratch! Kitchen and bathroom renovations can update your home, maximizing storage and functionality while increasing the value and appeal of your home.

Designing kitchens in small spaces is a unique challenge. A kitchen does not have to be large to be functional but it does have to be well planned and laid out, using the space to it’s full potential. Functionality and flow within the space, as well as maximizing storage should be addressed first. If proper attention is not given to these areas, it won’t matter how fashionable the kitchen cabinets are. A well planned “tight space” can end up being a gorgeous little kitchen!

Vacation home projects combine two of our favourite things: creating custom cabinets and travelling our beautiful province! Working with clients on their vacation homes have taken us to some of the most stunning coastal locations such as the Sunshine Coast, Powell River, Vancouver Island, and the Gulf Islands. Additionally, clients have had us work on their vacation homes in Harrison Mills, Harrison Hot Springs, Cultas Lake, Sheridan Lake and the Okanagan. Each vacation home is as unique as the clients that own them!

Finalizing the layout, design and colours in the actual space that the custom kitchen cabinets will be going not only enables the client to visualize the finished product but also allows us to factor in the natural lighting and surrounding elements. We organize the logistics of the kitchen cabinet delivery and installation to the vacation home, something that is often overwhelming to a client.
